MATCHUP PREVIEWS:

Quin Davis – Buck-ee’s (2) vs. Lance Taylor – 1st Down Syndrome (4)

Mahomes vs Allen is real life football, and in fantasy football! What a battle it will be. Both of these teams come into this matchup ranked inside the top 4, and a win for either will go a long way in trying to secure the top of their respective divisions. Lance has a clear edge in the WR room, and the tandem of Bijan and Kyren is pretty scary. On the other side, CMC, Dowdle, and Warren are all looking for bounce back performances. Lance has gone from “just happy to be here” to “I fucking belong here” and that’s a scary thing for the rest of the league. This should be a tight matchup and it could come down to the last game of the week.

Gio Franzese – Catching Cases, Not Passes (3) vs. Dillon Reisinger – CHASE’N TAIL (8)

On paper, atleast according to ESPN, Dillon comes into this game as a heavy favorite. Gio is battling some bye weeks with important players like Breece Hall and Emeka Egbuka, and his overall projection reflects that. On the bright side, he gets Brock Bowers back FINALLY – and no lead is safe with an RB duo like Gibbs and Javonte. On Dillon’s end, he’s kinda gay. But regardless, his team is looking to bounce back after a stinker of a week last week. Devante, Jamarr, and Keenan all have great matchups, and Achane should eat. At the end of the day though, one of these teams has been pulling out MIRACLE wins, and the other can’t stay consistent. Let’s see how this plays out.

Matchup Dark Horses: Marvin Harrison Jr. and Joe Flacco

Reed Pike – Addison HenRae (7) vs. Andrew Arney – Quantitative (5)

This is a very interesting matchup, not because I think it’ll be competitive (Andrew should win rather easily) but because if Reed pulls off the upset, he is right back in the playoff conversation. Escaping with a tie last week was a miracle for Reed, and he has to capitalize. Henry and Brown might both be back, and Kittle is for sureeee back, but are QJ and Pickens both slowly fading? On Andrew’s end, he gets to deploy his new play-toy Tyrone Tracy, and the rest of his squad, when at peak form, is looking pretty damn scary. A big bounce back game from Ferguson (0.0 points last week) could set up Andrew for a runaway victory, but if his team decides to take a nap like it’s done a few times this year, Reed always has a way of clawing back.

Matchup Dark Horses: Jordan Addison (first start with JJ) and Tyrone Tracy

Matthew Sherrick – Nabers Dead (1) vs. Drake Olson – Charlie’s Team (11)

1 v 11 – this could be a fucking bloodbath. Jonathan Taylor is having a top 5 fantasy season of all time so far, and somehow, Smith-Njigba is actually projected MORE points than JT this week. Those two players alone might be enough to win Sherrick this matchup. On Drake’s side, he needs a big time performance from his WR core of CeeDee, Olave, Sutton, and Ladd, but I’m almost certain whichever one he sits will outplay someone he starts. Jeanty and Etienne also need to start pulling their weight – if all comes together for this team they can compete with anyone, but it might take 140 points to get a win this week. I can’t wait for the texts between these two come Sunday, whether it’s a blowout or a close game it’ll be cinema for us all.

Matchup Dark Horses: Khalil Shakir and Whoever Drake Sits at WR

Jared Reiss – Creatine Caucasians (10) vs. Jake Odenweller – Lemme See Your Pitts (6)

MATCHUP OF THE WEEK! This showdown has been declared matchup of the week by the analysts this week. JR can’t really afford to lose, and if Jake drops to 4-5 we could see a perennial playoff contender start to panic. There are a ton of questionable players in the matchup, and if any of them sit out it could be different story, but as of right now this should be a pretty tight matchup. Jake has Puka and Amon together again in the lineup, and anything is possible with those guys, even the reality of having to carry Tony Pollard and Kenneth Gainwell on their backs doesn’t seem out of the question. For JR, it’s time for him to get a few explosive games from Jettas, Odunze, McBride, and BTJ. At their best, those four players could put up nearly 100 points themselves. This should be a barn burner and I’m excited to see whose season starts to trend up and whose season could be over.

Matchup Dark Horses: BTJ and Kyle Pitts

Evan Tooley – Saquon Deez Nuts (9) vs. Dave Carney – Eses with the Pepsi (12)

As deemed by Dave himself, this is his teams Super Bowl. Would’ve been nice if his 1st round pick Terry McLaurin decided to show up for the Super Bowl, but it is what it is. FUN FACT FOR YOU: Evan has the most points scored in his entire division and he’s sitting at 3-5….just doesn’t seem right does it? When you look at his team right now, you say about 13 “Q’s” or “IR’s” which isn’t great. But he does get Black Jesus back this week, and Lamar can do enough by himself to help ease the pain of losing CTE Skattebo for the year. This could be a really bad game, like an 89-75 type game, or maybe, just maybe, this ends up being an offensive explosion of a matchup and we see one of the greatest showdowns in the history of fantasy football. Either way, the loser of this matchup is beyond fucked for the rest of the year.

Matchup Dark Horses: Travis Hunter and Tre Tucker
